July 31 is the deadline for discount tickets to Great Adventure from St. Matthew's. A one-day pass to the theme park/safari is $30 and a season pass is $85. Our first group discussion of "The Shack" went very well. We'll be discussing chapters 5-9 this Sunday. If you weren't able to join us last Sunday, still free to join in. We're again collecting school backpacks and the items to put inside for the children served by Lutheran Social Ministries of NJ. A list of needed items was included in this past Sunday's bulletin. If you would rather, you can make a monetary donation, using a pew envelope and marking it accordingly. The global warming articles that were available on the Information Shelf were all taken on Sunday. More copies will be available this Sunday. A special Voters' Meeting will be held following worship on Sunday, August 8. Voters' approval will be sought to make a change in our Investment Policy, switching to a different investment bank, as that is where our financial advisor now is. |
